Buiding a grasshopper part 2
Part 1 - Part 3
|
| here I was at the end of 2006 |
|
When the outside was closed, it was time for the inside.
If I only had more energy to work on Grashopper.
To much energy went up in just working and staying alive. YES I have a more than fulltime job again. And I have an Amphib, that took to much time.
The inside has to fit like a glove to be a small a possible.
There is no room for mistakes when you are using modern glue.
So I took it easy and now more than a half year later
a new photo sesion and web page marks PROGRESS.

|
The under the bench a small toilet wil fit.
The 2 holes under the kichen wil hold pots, pans and food.
the purple thing sits in a drawer to be.
Below that shoes and the battery vind a place.
I expect it to look MUCH better when the doors ar in place.
|
|
The big walkin closet!
A place to lay T-shirts and to hang 4 coats.
|
|
The window is there.
The finishing water tight aluminium corner pieces is in place.
It looks almost ready.
200 hours work so far
Only 100 hours to go.
in the beginning of 2006 1 year after I have started this project.
The chassis axle and wheels will arrive.
It feels like it will be on he national news when Grasshopper can move on his own wheels.
|
|
On the right you can see a hatch in the bench, more storage,
can there be ever enough storage,
without over loading the axle, that is.
|
|
A large water tank will fit under the trailer.
But the water tank left in the photo is for use in the winter time.
Also visible here is the hatch with electric fan.
The shelfs on the left wil get 2 doors and will hold small bits and things that I do not know today.
|
| In this stage I had her on her own wheels. Bought the next door garage box. Managed to get an amphibious vehicle.
we planed to go on vacation with the Amphib. that was impossible with the over heating engine.
So I worked like mad to get the caravan road ready. |
