TIM DUTTON IN COURT FOR QUALITY OF HIS AMPHIBS!
Dutton who supplied an amphibious vehicle for use in
the Lake District, was facing jail after a judge described it as a
"floating coffin." But he ended up having to pay £28,500 compensation.
Dutton, former managing director of Amphibious Cars Ltd, of
Littlehampton, was found guilty of "consenting or conniving at"
supplying an amphibious vehicle whose claim that it was "for the
purpose of carrying passengers on land and/or water" was false.
The court was told Dutton set up a new business called Amphijeep after
winding up his previous company Amphibious Cars
