The owner Erik Jan is working for some time on this vehicle.
First he transformed it to a camper.
And then he has made it water tight.

The Citroen CX Familiale has one great advantage if you want to make an amphib,
the wheels are original retractable, because it has Hydro pneumatic Suspension.

To get this vehicle float there are metal plates welded in
the undersides of the door opening.
|
|
When I first saw the vehicle on the Amphib2002 he was experimenting with
plastic foil to make the bottom and sides water tight.
Only weeks after the foil was put on the rust was growing under the plastic foil.

In 2003 I can write that the amphibious conversion is a big success.

Propelled by an outboard motor it is without question amphibious. :-)
