The Cortex was bigger an higher on the water, one proto was made to late in 1994.
Not known is if any Cortex models made production.

The set-up cost for the brand new amphibious car factory where $ 25 Million in 1990.
In 1992 the had a stand of 162 m2 build by SuperBuild at the Paris MotorShow.

The Hobbycar was a $ 45.000 sunny day car, this price was without the optional soft top or the hardtop with wing doors.
In the water there is 10 cm free board so the Hobbycar takes water with the smallest waves.
That is no big problem on the France rivers
there are no BIG ships around that make BIG waves. :-)

|
On the plus side the Hobbycar is a 4WD with a mid engine and has a suspension that is adjustable in hight.
On this picture the suspension is in the low position.
